Here are some case examples of radiographic reports in the style required for membership examination.

Case One, provided by Dr Cathy Beck University of Melbourne

Report:

Lateral and ventrodorsal radiographs of the caudal abdomen of a skeletally mature, large breed, female dog are provided.
Positioning is adequate, however the hind limbs could be pulled further caudally. For a complete examination of the abdomen the cranial abdomen, to the level of the diaphragm, should be included.
Labelling is not seen, radiographs should be labelled with the date, patient's name and clinic.
No artefacts are seen
Collimation is difficult to determine on the radiograph provided, the primary beam extends to the edge of the image
Exposure is adequate

Radiographic Description:
There is good intraabdominal serosal detail. There is a large, tubular soft tissue opacity mass within the caudal abdomen displacing the small intestines cranially and dorsally on the lateral projection and axially on the ventrodorsal projection. There is a moderate amount of gas within the stomach, small intestines and colon. There is no evidence of small intestinal overdistension. The liver is noted within the cranial abdomen and is within normal limits for size. The head of the spleen is noted lateral to the fundus of the stomach on the ventrodorsal projection. The spleen can not be identified on the lateral projection. The caudal margin of the left and right kidneys is noted on the lateral projection and the left kidney is seen on the ventrodorsal projection and is within normal limits for size, opacity and margination. The moderately distended urinary bladder is noted within the caudal abdomen on the lateral projection. Multiple soft tissue opacity nodules are noted along the superficial ventral abdomen representing nipples. There is sclerosis and ventral spondylosis at L7-S1.

Radiographic Interpretation:
Tubular soft tissue opacity structure within caudal abdomen consistent with an enlarged fluid filled uterus ddx: pyometra; mucometra; hydrometra; early pregnancy; involuting uterus post whelping

Degenerative changes L7-S1

Further recommendations:
Ultrasound examination to confirm fluid filled uterus and rule out early pregnancy
Confirm history to rule out involuting uterus
